GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference – Call for Presentations August 14, 2008

URISA and the IAAO are accepting abstract submissions for the 13th Annual GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference. The conference – for Professionals in Property Assessment, Tax Administration, Mapping and Information Technology – will take place in Charleston, South Carolina, February 8-11, 2009.

The theme for the event is “Technology to Revolutionize Your Valuations”.
You are invited to submit an abstract through this Call for Presentations. A review committee of IAAO and URISA members will organize an educational program based on the abstracts submitted. Abstract submissions will be accepted until September 19, 2008.
The Committee has specified three general program tracks for the conference and has suggested ideas for each (note that all abstracts will be considered for the program, whether or not they fit directly into one of these tracks):

Systems & Data Integration

    Database Design and Maintenance
    Enterprise Systems
    Departmental Collaboration
    Integrating New Technology With Old Technology
    Data Integrity and Liability—Best Practices
    Subsidies for Small Jurisdictions—How to Bring Them Into the Fold
    System & Data Consolidation Across
    Multiple Jurisdictions—Pros & Cons
    Other related topics

Valuation/CAMA (Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal) Modeling

    Advanced Modeling Techniques
    3-D Visualization
    Challenges Reassessing Jurisdictions with Non-Market Legacy Values
    Modeling in a Declining Market
